About Me
Shalaka is an early career performance designer & art director based across London and Mumbai. She trained as an architect, graduating in 2021 from University of Mumbai (Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture), and further developed her skills at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London (MA Scenography) in 2025.
Her passion for the visual arts stems from storytelling and form, crafting narratives that blur the boundary of reality and the imagined. Her style is primarily curiosity driven, exploring new interests, ideas and artists in every project, starting her journey through designing branding and narratives. She has worked across film and television, commercials and stage projects.
Currently exploring: design for performance, short films and fringe theatre design.
